By H. Truong: This book provides many practical and wonderful tips for both patients and clinical practitioners. There are total 21 chapters but each is written independently for different setting in real world situation. The Defiant Patient (The Aging Parent) impressed me the most. The author has shared her own personal experiences how to communicate with her aging father. He was a retired Army Colonel who has always been a self-reliant and do-it myself type A person. This chapter provides valuable lessons and learned for both the clinical practitioners and the people who have to care for the aging parents. I strongly recommend each family must have this book in the book-shelf as a reference. Using the suggestions/tips to prepare ourselves for a better connection with the clinical practitioner on the next visit.
